Tom Sadge: Meeting Neil Diamond!
"This guy sounds just like me!"

A NEIL DIAMOND FAN
First and foremost, Tom Sadge is a Neil Diamond fan- and he has his FOND membership to prove it! Therefore, much of late February and early March, along with a trip to Reading in September at the invitation of good friends, was spent seeing the one and only Neil Diamond in concert! We sat up front in Wilkes-Barre (both nights), and all we can say is Neil was FANTASTIC!!He looked Terrific! Neil's voice was in top form. Neil was moving, funny, mesmerizing, and any other complimentary superlative you can think of. We met so many, many nice Diamondheads. And, as you can see by the photos on this page, Tom had the pleasure of meeting many of Neil's band. What an honor! And we met up with so many, many other nice Neil fans, too many to mention but you know who you are. But a special thanks to Sylvia and Lori for such terrific tickets, to Lois for the delicious candy, to Brenda and Dar for your warmth, goodies and so much more, Soma, Judi (who literally sparkled!) and her husband, and everyone else for making the night so memorable.

MEETING NEIL DIAMOND...TWICE!
Tom Sadge has had the pleasure of meeting Neil Diamond not once, but twice. Both times are moments he will never forget. The latest meeting came on March 5th, 2002 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Tom also had the pleasure of meeting Neil Diamond on December 12, 1999 when Neil came to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to perform at the NEPA Arena. It was after the final show there that Neil Diamond came over to Tom and, placing his arm around the impersonator, agreed to pose for several photos. It was the thrill of a lifetime for Tom! Tom also had the pleasure of meeting and spending some time with the rest of Neil Diamond's legendary band. While Tom was honored to meet King, Vince, Tom, Alan, Doug, Reine, Hadley and Linda (drummer Ron Tutt was recovering from an illness and Paul Leim wasn't present).

Tom has especially warm memories of meeting the late Vince Charles, who passed away on June 4th, 2001. Tom is very grateful for the friendship and warmth Vince extended to not only Tom but his family during the three days
that Neil and the band spent in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Vince Charles, a friend to Neil Diamond and a cherished band member for over 25 years, will be missed by many.
